‘Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.’
Proverbs 22:6
Good News Club meets every Friday afternoon, and we are always delighted to welcome children of primary school age. It’s a cheerful, relaxed space where children can unwind after the school week, make new friends, and explore the Bible in a safe, supportive setting.

Each week is filled with a fun mix of activities — lively games, quizzes, learning memory verses, singing, creative crafts, and interactive Bible stories that help children connect with the message of the Bible in a meaningful way. We also make time for prayer, friendship, and sharing a healthy snack together, giving children a chance to chat, laugh, and feel part of a caring community.

We love to share the gospel in experiential ways, this includes celebrating Christian festivals. The boys and girls are able to grow fruit and veg in the garden and make delicious apple and blackberry crumbles to share with their families and the community. Other celebrations include taking part in Harvest, Christmas and Easter services, as well as learning about Jesus, Light of the World at our October Light Parties.

When the sun is shining, the children love heading outdoors to enjoy our garden, small woodland, and open field — perfect for play and adventure.

Good News Club is completely free, and new children are always warmly welcomed. There’s no need to book; children can simply come along and join the fun.
The club runs every Friday from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Local children are welcome to join our walking bus from the school to the chapel — just a short, five‑minute stroll.
‘Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”’
Matthew 19:14
